Football Changes Lives
The International Football Foundation (IFF) was born out of the work of the Cleveland Soccer Foundation (CSF) formed in 2007. Originally focused on the Cleveland, Ohio area, the foundation has grew its vision and its actions to bring hope to the world utilizing a multifaceted approach through the world’s most popular sport, football (soccer). To better reflect the growing, global work, the foundation changed its name to the International Football Foundation and remains a 501c3 non-profit organization.
It is widely recognized that sport provides youth with more than just physical development. The character and strength of many of our leaders in the world today was forged through their experiences in sports competition during their formative years.
With sport being such a powerful means of formation in the lives of youth, The IFF has a vision to work through football in a positive way so that young people develop in all areas of their lives. Millions of children and youth throughout the world face a myriad of challenges growing up in our present world. Poverty, disease, lack of education, marginalized spiritual and social constructs all can contribute to a life without hope and direction.
As we look around the world, we realize that these youth have a good chance of facing at least some of these challenges regardless of what continent they live on. The mission of the IFF is to make a difference by training coaches who will do more than just teach the skills of the game. These coaches have the potential to be a life-changing example as they provide a positive and hope-filled perspective on life along with teaching practical skills to become successful off the football pitch.
Please join us in reaching this world through football as we further develop our programs that are formulated to deal with the specific economic, health, social and spiritual challenges that the young people may be facing.
